Contemporary TechDocs, a blog post + unspoken OSS initiative

#1

Howdy everyone,

I wanted to share a recent article I wrote, Contemporary TechDocs, that’s sort of an update on what I’m working on at Twitter. This is also a non-explicit Call To Action to apply these ideas outside of Twitter.

In the post there is a section titled “Measuring TechDocs” where I describe some practical metrics for a data-driven approach to docs. I’d like to get some open source work started to create reference implementations of these metrics.

Anyone interested?

Thanks,
Troy

As for Linters, those of use who attended WTD 2015 know about Write Good.

I know I want to find time to fork it, at least to add our own lists of weasel words. I wonder if we could incorporate something like the Hemingway App to set up a readability score.
